I had the extreme misfortune of being curious enough about Autocad to install it on my personal computer because I had free access to the software as a student. It's outrageous that a company thinks it can "highjack" PCs and and force users to have programs and services installed they do not want. To find those files and removed them manually.Įxperiences like this will make me find alternative software for my needs in the future. After it was done the thing was removed, but there were still some files left in my system. It did some stuff for a minute and while this window was still open but non interactive. I had to download the above utility and run it, then select Autodesk Genuine Service from the list and tell the software I want to remove it. I seem to have found a solution and here's what I did for those facing the same issue:
